The Flamethrower was a weapon included in the Super Carnage prototype, but was removed in the Cocaine Cowboy build of Hotline Miami. It appears as the last of Beard's weapons in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number for NG+ and Hard Mode runs of levels. It is unlocked after its final chapter, Casualties.

Statistics Edit

The Flamethrower is an extremely powerful weapon, it has perfect accuracy and a "magazine" size of 100, but with an incredibly high ammo consumption, it can instantly kill both Russian Soldiers and Heavies upon contact, making it very useful for clearing out enemies quickly and disposing of Heavies, this combination makes the Flamethrower arguably the strongest weapon in the game. The flames cannot travel through undamaged windows, but a glitch allows the player to shoot through unbroken windows when pressed up against them.

The weapon's range and instant kills arguably makes Hard Mode Beard scenes using it much easier than normal mode Beard scenes restricted to his first four weapons.

Trivia Edit

  • The Flamethrower appears to be that of an M2 Flamethrower, though altered in appearance in comparison to it's real life counterpart. The M2 Flamethrower was most notably used in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War before it went out of service in 1978 due to the Geneva conventions act making Flamethrowers illegal to use in combat, while Beard's missions took place in 1985.
  • The flamethrower has a common audio glitch where its noise will continue indefinitely until the player dies.
